Stratford - London

The ArcelorMittal Orbit.

This is tallest sculpture in the UK at 114m high - but if it were a vertical tower (with all the loops flattened out) it would be 560 meters, higher than the Eiffel tower.

The design was the winning entry in a competition to design and produce a sculpture that would be an iconic centre-piece for Queen Elisabeth Olympic Park and act as an accessible work of public art.

From 2016, the Stadium becomes the new home of West Ham United FC and the National Competition Centre for athletics in the UK, as well as a major live music venue.

London Aquatics Centre.

In 2012, the spectacular London Aquatics Centre, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, provided the breathtaking backdrop to countless world records.
